Review: Big Al’s Fish Flash

By on October 1, 2007

Big Al’s Fish Flash represents a totally unique concept in flasher fishing. It provides excellent fish attraction while producing zero drag in the water.BIGAL

The Salmon University staff has used the Fish Flash for many years and swears by the effectiveness of this style flasher.

Two of our favored uses for the Fish Flash are ocean trolling chinook with bait. The fish flash tied with 40 inches of leader to a cutplug herring. This was extremely deadly for large chinook when fished off the downrigger in the top 50 ft of the water column about 20 ft. behind the release clip.

The other is estuary fishing. While trolling river mouths and bays you can’t beat the Fish Flash for added attraction in front of a large herring in shallow water. When fishing Gray’s Harbor, Ilwaco, Buoy 10, and Willapa Bay we would not even think about heading out without several Fish Flashes in the tackle box.

Big Al offers the Fish Flash in several sizes and colors to handle any type of fishing from Kokanee to King Salmon.
