Salmon University Staff at Puget Sound Boat Show

Salmon University staff members Tom Nelson, Terry Rudnick, and Mark Gavin will be giving seminars at the 2016 Puget Sound Boat Show in Tacoma, Wash. in March. The 30th annual Puget Sound Boat Show runs from March 17 to 20 at the Tacoma Dome.

Clamming Expanded in Washington

Washington state shellfish managers have approved a four-day razor clam dig at Mocrocks beginning March 5 and continuing through March 8. In addition, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has extended the current opening at Long Beach through March 31. According to WDFW, additional openings are being evaluated based on current toxin levels. A list of expected low tides for both Mocrocks and Long Beach is available here.

WDFW Solicits Angler Feedback

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is soliciting public feedback in its online, Puget Sound Recreational Salmon and Marine Enhancement Program (PSRE) Survey. Persons 13 years of age or older who complete the short questionnaire by March 31, will be entered to win a rod, reel and net. The survey can be taken here.
