Annual Salmon University Trip Returns August 6th to 10th

Since the seasons in Washington are so short and being scheduled after the salmon have passed through, it’s time to go elsewhere! More Washington anglers are heading to British Columbia; in the past, Salmon University has fished in the Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii), Port McNeill, Port Hardy, Winter Harbor, and Nootka Sound – all good areas, every one.

This year, my wife and I have decided to return to Barkley Sound and the Eagle Nook Resort. Why? Great fishing for salmon and halibut, beautiful rooms, outstanding food, great care, and the best dates of the year.

If I were to pick on time of the year to fish Barkley Sound, August 6th to 10th would be it. Usually, we take our own boat up, but this year we intend to relax and fish with the outstanding Lucky Sportfishing guides. This trip is taking place during the prime of the Chinook and Coho runs – hope to see you there!
